Hello Mr. Trump, if you are reading this, then legalize all drugs. It is the libertarian thing to do. We are spending so much effort and money on hunting down addicts, and enabling drug cartels. Prohibition never works. Why can't I go into a store and buy a Happy Pill aka cocaine (just like I can now at the liquor store with wine)? All recreational drugs should be produced by our corporations legally (so Walter White doesn't have to hide under a laundromat to make 99% pure stuff), and then taxed. The fentanyl problem will immediately disappear, as well as the drug cartels. Then use a portion of the savings from abolishing the DEA to fund responsible drug use education, and provide addiction support for the few who develop an addiction (likely the same ones who fall through the cracks today and become a drag on society since we vilify addiction). It's simple math, and pretty common sense stuff.
I am an adult who is on this Earth involuntarily, so why is a government telling me I can't enjoy myself? Stop being so stodgy and stuck in Reagan-era thinking.
